Friendly’s Restaurants Opens Newest Location in Clay, N.Y.

CLAY, N.Y. (Grassroots Newswire) May 17, 2010 – Friendly’s Restaurants celebrates the grand opening of a new restaurant located in Clay, N.Y.
The new Friendly’s restaurant located at 3873 State Route 31 is owned and operated by Kessler Family LLC and is scheduled to open at 6 a.m. on May 24, 2010. According to Dave VanBlarcom, vice president of operations for Kessler Family LLC, the employees are excited about serving the local community.

“Friendly’s has been an integral part of the Syracuse community for more than forty years. We’re thrilled to open our newest restaurant in the town of Clay to better serve our Friendly’s fans in this area with all the delicious food and ice cream they’ve grown accustomed to receiving at Friendly’s,” VanBlarcom said. “A visit to Friendly’s is perfect after a little league game or school dance. We promise to provide the highest level of quality food, ice cream and service to our guests.”

From its classic breakfasts to famous SuperMelts™, burgers and signature desserts, the new Friendly’s restaurant in Clay will provide meal choices for every diner. Mark Internicola, who has been an employee with Friendly’s Restaurants for 33 years, will serve as the restaurant’s general manager. Internicola will oversee the hiring of 115 employees to run the 4,300 square-foot restaurant, which is ready to seat 170 guests. In addition, the new restaurant will evoke the local community’s past with photographs of the historic town on its walls and a nostalgic ice cream fountain with bar stools for guests to enjoy. There will also be a carryout window with patio seating available.

“Friendly’s is a place where families and friends can connect over a snack or meal. We strive to build life-long friendships with every guest,” VanBlarcom said.
