Friendly’s Agawam Restaurant Set to Re-Open on April 26

Agawam, MA (Grassroots Newswire) April 26, 2012 – Friendly’s Ice Cream, LLC announces the re-opening of the Friendly’s restaurant at 19 Springfield Street in Agawam, MA. The restaurant has undergone a complete remodeling, and will re-open with a new look inside and out.  The restaurant originally opened on December 1, 1957.

“The re-opening of the Agawam restaurant reflects Friendly’s ongoing commitment to our loyal customers and the communities in which we have restaurants,” said Jim Sullivan, chief development officer at Friendly’s Ice Cream, LLC. “We’ll continue to renovate and re-invigorate our restaurants, so that families can continue to count on us for a great meal at a great price in bright and clean family-friendly surroundings.”

The new look serves as a backdrop to the same great food, service and ice cream treats that have always been the hallmark of Friendly’s restaurants. The remodeled restaurant opens to the public on Thursday, April 26. Restaurant hours are 8 am to 11 pm Sunday through Thursday and 8 am to 12 midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

“Everything about the restaurant is new and fresh,” said Anna Panaia, general manager of the Friendly’s restaurant in Agawam. “We’ve brightened up our décor with new wallpaper and brighter paint colors, new carpeting, and new lighting. We’ve remodeled our restrooms and the outside of the store features a whole new look, too. We can’t wait to welcome back our customers  into this comfortable and fun new restaurant.”

On Friday, April 27, Agawam town officials, including Mayor Richard Cohen, will join Friendly’s executives and the restaurant team at a “First Scoop” media event to get “the scoop” on the restaurant’s new design and décor.
