Friendly’s Offers Free Fribbles® to Customers this Saturday

This Saturday, January 21, Friendly’s Ice Cream, LLC will offer customers free Fribbles®—its most iconic drink – as a way to say “thank you” for 76 years of support and loyalty. This, after the company announced its successful emergence from bankruptcy earlier this month.
“Our customers are priority #1 and we want to continue to demonstrate our appreciation for sticking with us through this process,” said Harsha V. Agadi, Chairman and CEO of Friendly’s. “Friendly’s is open for business in 16 states and nearly 400 locations. We are excited for the future – we want our customers to be excited too.”
On January 9th the company completed the sale of its business to Friendly’s Ice Cream, LLC and emerged from voluntary Chapter 11 in just 3 months, better positioned for operational effectiveness and future growth.
Described as a company founded on ice cream but built around families – the planned Fribble offer will serve to help the company reconnect with those families and Friendly’s fans via its signature, super-thick, soft-serve shake – the Fribble.
The free Fribble will be available this Saturday from noon to 5 p.m., at all Friendly’s locations. The company expects to give-away more than a half a million Fribbles – available in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry – during the event.
